Wolf Gap Recreation Area
Take exit 279 off I-81. Turn west on SR 675. Drive 3.5 miles to STOP sign at VA 42. Turn right, and take next left to continue on SR 675. Remain on SR 675 (there is a left turn at the far side of the one-lane, low water bridge) and drive 3.1 miles to a fork in the road. Stay right, on SR 675, and drive another 3.4 miles to the top of the mountain. Caution, this is a narrow, winding road with poor sight lines. The entrance is on your right.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Strasburg Shenandoah Valley

     This summer or weekend rental sits on 70 acres with 1/4 mile frontage on the historic Shenandoah River. Built in the architectural style of Frank Lloyd Wright, this luxury apartment contains 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a "Great Room" featuring a big screen TV, 5 full size arcade games, a huge working fireplace,  and fusball, billiard, air hockey/Ping Pong and Poker tables. There is a full kitchen (Stove top, no oven) in the apartment plus 2 queen size beds in the rooms.  Sleeps four, not including "roughing it" on the couches.

     Out door activities on premises include: 1 mile ATV/motor cross track. gun shooting range, archery range, ,fishing, hunting canoeing (Equipment not provided.) There is also hiking, forest trails and full size pool with diving board. Enjoy a fantastic view of the mountains while your children swim or use the large gas BBQ as you watch the deer. Sit around the campfire on the shores of the Shenandoah telling ghost stories or listen to the songs of a wide variety of songbirds as you walk in nature's harmony.

     The lodgings are pet friendly and have, cable TV and internet.  We are about 90 miles from Metropolitan Washington DC and near Woodstock, Virginia in Toms Brook. Close enough to the city, but far enough to get away.
