Welcome to New Market
Exit 264
An underground world of wonders along a one-mile tour circuit where a comfortable 56-degree temperature is maintained year-round. Plus, we offer the only cavern system with elevator service as well as the added convenience of level walkways and no stairs.
Come see the nation's premier parade float exhibition. Your family will see spectacular parade floats from famous national celebration such as the Rose Parade, Presidential Inaugurals, the Miss America Parade, the Thanksgiving Day Parade, and many more! It's an amazing exhibition that fills 40,000 square feet of floor space with huge floats and delightful animated figures.
American Celebration on Parade
Experience everything from a first-hand look at farm life to live musical performances on a rotating stage. Take a step back in time with historic displays and a cast collection of restored carriages and farm vehicles. Let the children enjoy the wonders of nature at our live animal mini-farm and indoor beehive.
The Yellow Barn
There was a time when children couldn't wait to visit city department stores during the holiday season to look at the elaborate window displays. Your children can experience the same excitement when they visit our Main Street of Yesteryear with more than 100 animated figures- many of them part of original displays that appeared a half century ago.
Main Street Yesteryear
The Cross Roads Inn features bedrooms with period antiques, including four poster and canopy beds with down comforters for those cool fall and winter nights. Some are equipped with whirlpool bathtubs and fireplaces.
There is truly somehthing for everyone to see and do in the New Market area!
The Cross Roads Inn is a gracious country manor home where history, hospitality and relaxation are in keeping with Virginia's charm. The Cross Roads Inn, located in historic New Market, Virginia is just minutes away from the site of the Civil War "Battle of New Market". The Inn is also close to museums, caverns, vineyards and excellent restaurants that feature a local flair and fine dining. Of course, New Market and the surrounding area abound with antique and speciality shops that meet the needs of every recreational shopper.
The tradition of Virginia hospitality begins as guests arrive and are treated to complimentary horsd'oeuvres and beverages. The new day starts with a tasty breakfast of fruit, baked goods and a breakfast "special of the day". All are served in our sunny breakfast room, formal dining room or front porch.
